Reno’s First Save on the First Day of Killing
Today we have wonderful news from the sidewalk. I’ll let Theresa’s words speak for her.
I (Theresa) headed to the sidewalk just before 1pm. I barely remembered to grab my "I Regret My Abortion" sign on the way out the door. The usual foul music was blasting from the outdoor speakers and all the "anti-protester" signs were posted. A short time later three other women arrived, (Pat) two of which had never prayed at the sidewalk before. By that time four or five vehicles with girls in them had pulled into the abortionist's driveway. I was praying specifically that God would stir a heart within the building. I stopped praying as a friend of mine (Rachel) pulled up in her car, stopping only long enough to say that she wasn't going to be able to stay but for a moment this day. At that moment an SUV pulled out of the driveway, the girl was obviously crying in the passenger seat. Her boyfriend rolled down the window and said, "she didn't do it, she saw your sign and didn't want to do it anymore". This 20 year old man's heart was soft toward his 21 year old girlfriend. He said that they would need help. The couple pulled their SUV over as my friend ran to her car to get resources for them, resources I didn't remember to bring with my sign. I'm glad my friend was there! They were both so grateful that we were there praying and sharing our personal hurt. I'm so grateful that God can make beauty from ashes. I am so grateful that two new people to 40 Days for Life got to experience God's saving power through prayer!
You are welcome to pray at the sidewalk even if you cannot register on our vigil calendar (apparently there have been problems with the server). Please, take an hour. Who knows, you may save a life! Already there have been over 65 lives saved since this National / International campaign began last Wednesday, and that is just the number of known saves. We need to remember that we didn’t know that Jules had been saved until after she was born, and how many others will we never know about? God is truly blessing us with obvious evidence that our prayers account for something in His magnificent plans.
Reno Abortion Site Closed Last 2 Weeks
Since the week before the start of the Spring 40 Days for Life, the Reno abortion site, located at 5915 Tyrone Rd, has been closed for abortions, with only a limited office staff present. I’m still waiting for a report on today’s activities at the sidewalk, but know that shortly before 5 pm 3 staff cars left the property, with no evidence of Dr. Stutes being present. If anyone has any additional details to report from the sidewalk, please let me know what you saw. If you arrived early in the morning, were there any tracks in the snow going into the property or did you see anyone enter before you left?

Join us this weekend as we once again go door-to-door, inviting members of the community to join us in Prayer and Fasting; Prayerful Vigil and Community Outreach as we Pray to End Abortion. Last weekend we braved high winds, but we found homeowners interested in learning more about the 40 Days for Life effort in our area. While a large number of the Churches represented are Catholic, this is not intended to be a “Catholic” event, but rather a catholic (universal) event. The Executive Director of 40 Days for Life at the national level is non-Catholic and all are invited to participate, regardless of where you find your church home.
