Abortionist Attacked Signs
According to three witnesses, Dr. Stutes decided to take matters into his own hands when at 8:10 am on Friday morning, Feb 26, he violently ran over two of the four signs that have stood across from his abortion site every weekday morning for nearly a year. For the past year, two prayer volunteers have stood to pray and encourage women to make another choice, offering referrals to resources that address the challenges they face due to an unexpected pregnancy. To assist them in this effort, a driver, who had seen their small hand-held signs, donated four large signs that together read “Abortion Stops A Beating Heart.”
As has been evidenced by Dr. Stutes attempts to get the city to prevent us from continuing to display these signs, they are apparently having an effect on him and his business. It was because of this Free Speech message that women have reconsidered their choice. This free speech, and those who stand and offer silent witness and hope, must be protected from violent attacks by those who disagree. To ensure that this incident neither recur nor escalate, a police report has been filed and is being followed closely by the campaign.
We continue to await a response from the city regarding the legal status of these signs and others resting on the ground, having been assured by the city’s Senior Code Enforcement Officer, after a review of the ordinance, that they are legal and yet subsequently being requested by another officer to remove signs resting on the ground. We will continue to watch this matter closely and will work to ensure that our rights of Free Speech are protected.
St. Albert’s Parish Adopts the Sidewalk
Today there were members of the St. Albert’s Parish, along with volunteers from St. Rose of Life, and others, including one volunteer who stood in the rain for hours, who came to the sidewalk to pray to end abortion. Won’t you come to Pray to End Abortion?

Volunteers Needed Sat 7-9 am, 12-7 pm, Sun all day & Mon 5-7 pm
On Friday, St. Alberts Parish has adopted the sidewalk. Do you have a hour that you can give to pray on this typically busy day at the abortion site?
On Saturday and Sunday, we had a volunteer willing to cover the mornings who, due to car troubles, has had to back out of praying at the sidewalk this weekend. Can you help fill the gap? This is an especially good time for first time prayer volunteers, as the abortion site is not open on the weekends. This means you will not need to worry about interacting with the abortion site staff, nor will you find yourself in a quandary as to how to approach women entering the property. Please, sign up on the Vigil Calendar and help us cover the sidewalk while our volunteer’s car is under repair.
In the meantime, you are welcome to sign-up or simply show-up to pray at the sidewalk at any time of the day or night when you are available to join us. Your prayers have value well beyond anything we can see and we welcome whatever contribution you can make to the effort as we Pray to End Abortion.
Please register the hours when you can come pray at the sidewalk by going to our on-line calendar at: www.vigilcalendar.com/renotahoe
40 Days through Scripture
- Day 11: Luke 10-13 (including: Luke 10:29-37)
- But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus replied, “A man fell victim to robbers as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead. A priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. Likewise a Levite came to the place, and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight. He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn and cared for him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, ‘Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.’ Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robber’s victim?” He answered, “The one who treated him with mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
Are not these women, who are overwhelmed by their circumstances, like that man who fell victim to the robbers, and are we not called to treat them with mercy, as the Good Samaritan did. Christ has told us in no uncertain terms, “Go and do likewise.” What have you done to help prevent the death of one of the least of these?
Join us as we read the New Testament over the course of the 40 Day campaign.

Abortion More Devastating Than Slavery for Black Americans
[LifeNews.com, Washington, DC] - A Republican member of Congress has released a new video showing him talking about the status of abortion in the United States. Rep. Trent Franks, an Arizona republican, is generating controversy by saying that abortion has been more devastating for the black community than slavery.
Franks, who has sponsored legislation responding to the high rate of abortions in the African-American community, released his comments to liberal blogger Mike Stark.
"In this country, we had slavery for God knows how long," Frank says. Nowadays, he says Americans look back and ask about society for allowing it: "What was the matter with them? You know, I can't believe, you know, four million slaves. It is a crushing mark on America's soul."
"And yet today, half of all black children are aborted. Half of all black children are aborted," Franks continues.
"Far more of the African American community is being devastated by the policies of today than were being devastated by policies of slavery. And I think, What does it take to get us to wake up?" he adds. Full story at LifeNews.com

Abortion 101
Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood is one of the largest abortion providers in the world. But where did it all get started and what does Planned Parenthood really stand for today? It’s important to be armed with the facts if you want to understand the impact Planned Parenthood is having on our culture today, especially on young people and their perception of their sexuality and their fertility.
Founder Margaret Sanger had some interesting views that are worth looking into. For more info on her, go to: http://www.stopp.org/sanger.htm
Stop Planned Parenthood (www.stopp.org) has a number of resources to provide you with the facts about Planned Parenthood. A good page to get started is: http://www.stopp.org/resource.htm
But you don’t have to take the word of those who are opposed to Planned Parenthood to see just how much of a negative impact they are having on today’s youth. You can go to their own Teen Talk website to see for yourself what they are selling to youth. Go to: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/teen-talk/ Warning, they can be obscene and graphic, so this content is not recommended for the young, despite how Planned Parenthood is targeting their materials.
