"They're back and they're fired up!"

Who's "they" you ask?

Well "they" are the 40 Days for Life volunteers who are praying outside a Planned Parenthood abortion center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And if you think that line about being fired up came from a friend of 40 Days for Life, guess again.

Who said it? Planned Parenthood!

The local Planned Parenthood in New Mexico sent that message in a letter to abortion supporters. The note said that with all the buzz over the rabidly pro-abortion Freedom of Choice Act championed by the abortion industry and President Obama, "we expect to see more people than ever on our sidewalk picketing, praying and intimidating our patients and staff."

Intimidating? Only in the eyes of Planned Parenthood could the sight of a young woman with a Bible, pushing a stroller with a toddler -- or the sight of three people on their knees in prayer -- be intimidating.

It may be the fact that 40 Days for Life is costing them money, which seems to be the case in New Mexico. Planned Parenthood even admits the setbacks they're experiencing and have turned once again to their organization's worn-out fundraising tactic: "Pledge- A-Picketer."

Planned Parenthood asks its supporters to pledge a dollar for each person who shows up to pray during the 40 Days for Life.

They’ve tried this tired attempt dozens of times around the country and it never works.

Why?

Because their volunteers are not as committed as we are!

In their own words, Planned Parenthood says, "More than 300 protesters usually gather at our surgical facility. We close the clinic that day, so Pledge- A-Picketer helps offset the loss of revenue."

Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion chain and according to their most recent annual report, they aborted 289,750 babies during the last fiscal year.

For another thing, Planned Parenthood does this with $336.7 million of OUR money through federal, state and local tax funding annually!

First Saturday Rosary, March 7, 9:00 am
Calling all Pro-Life Catholics (and others who are interested) to pray the Rosary at the abortion site on Saturday, February 7th at 9:00 am. Join us as we pray the Gospel.

Vigil of Mourning, March 13, 6:00 pm
Join as we mourn the lives lost at the abortion site and the potential never realized through the horror of abortion. Bring your large sized votive candles and wear clothes in black to symbolize the mourning of these losses.

This is a Catholic devotion of praying for the Mercy of God, but all are welcome to join.

Life Chain, March 15, 2 – 3:30 pm
Life Chain, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is a peaceful witness to the fact that Abortion Kills Children, and Abortion Hurts Women. Christians are called to stand in witness to the truth Christ gave us, that all human life is sacred and deserving of protection. We would like to again bring people out to say “Enough is Enough”, but to do so with messages of peace, healing and truth. Women Deserve Better than Abortion, but if they don’t know the truth, they may find themselves submitting to this as their supposed best option. Help us spread the word, Adoption is the Loving Option. Additional signs state: Jesus Forgives and Heals; Lord, Forgive us and our Nation; El Aborto Mata Niño’s; Life the First Inalienable Right; and Pray to End Abortion.

Day 10: Luke 5 – 9
“But to you who hear I say, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. To the person who strikes you on one cheek, offer the other one as well, and from the person who takes your cloak, do not withhold even your tunic. Give to everyone who asks of you, and from the one who takes what is yours do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you. For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same. If you lend money to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, and get back the same amount. But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend expecting nothing back; then your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. Remember that while we may not like what is being done to the babies at the abortion site nor do we enjoy it when we have sprinklers turned on us, or we are serenaded with George Carlin (and worse), we are there to love those who do not yet appreciate the Love of Christ, we are there to bless them and pray for them. We want to offer love and support to the women and if a clinic worker is looking for an alternate job, we want to be prepared to go out of our way to help them change careers. This is how we can give witness to the Love of Christ when we gather at the sidewalk.

Media Bias - Washington Post Runs Erroneous Report on Bid to Cut Planned Parenthood Funds
[LifeNews.com] -- The Washington Post has given pro-life advocates another reason not to read articles from the traditionally pro-abortion newspaper. It ran an erroneous report on an amendment pro-life advocates support to cut funds from Planned Parenthood from the federal budget.

As LifeNews.com has reported, Senator David Vitter has filed an amendment to the omnibus spending bill to prevent taxpayers from having their money sent from the federal government to the nation's biggest abortion business.

While the money Planned Parenthood receives from Title X funds doesn't pay for abortions directly, Vitter says it still helps the abortion business.

The Washington Post's Mary Ann Akers writes in her column about the amendment that it would "drastically cut funding for family planning programs."

But John McCormack of the Weekly Standard indicates that's "untrue."

Sign up even if you’re not 100% sure that you can make that particular time. If circumstances prevent you being at the sidewalk then just make it up another time.
