Have you signed up on the Vigil Calendar?
It is important to sign up if at all possible. Some prayer volunteers are ready and willing to go to the abortion site but do not want to be there alone. You don’t know who you might be encouraging to come out and join you when you sign up. If no one is there when you arrive simply pray IN YOUR CAR until another prayer volunteer arrives.
It is most important to pray whether you have signed up ahead of time or not. If you’re near the abortion site and have even just a few moments to spare – GO PRAY!
Commit to pray daily from wherever you are.

Kick Off Rally – Candlelight Vigil
Mild temperatures, light breezes and dry conditions greeted a small but hardy band of pro-lifers as we prayed together in front of the abortion site. The hand of the Lord in assembling this particular group was quickly apparent as discussion opened up needs and brought out personal connections to further pro-life efforts both at the abortion site and through post-abortive healing ministries. Office space has become available near the abortion site which could be used as a pro-life center or Crisis Pregnancy Center. Please pray for donors, staffers and volunteers to make the dream of reaching women with resources to support them in a choice for life – right under Dr. Stutes’ nose – a reality.
We know that we are making an impact on Dr. Stutes’ business as he has erected a new chain link fence enclosure in the front yard. It remains to be seen what, if anything, he will put in there. We are encouraged that he feels the need to spend time and energy rebuffing our efforts. We will continue to pray for the conversion of Dr. Stutes and his staff as we bring the love of Christ to the sidewalk.

[NevadaLIFE] Night for Life at Spirit Filled Church In Sparks Friday Night Feb. 27th at 7 pm Nevada LIFE, a local minister's group and others are holding a "night for life" pro-life rally at 7 pm Friday Night on February 27th at Church of Jesus Christ Spirit Filled at 3175 Goldy Way in Sparks. Pastor Hoag assisted with many abortions when he was a U.S. Navy Ob/Gyn operating room technician. He "was always troubled by the presence of identifiable body parts such as tiny feet and hands" that he routinely removed from the abortion suction machine. (Continue)

40 Days through Scripture
Day 2: Matthew 8 – 12
Matt 11:20-24 Then he began to reproach the towns where most of his mighty deeds had been done, since they had not repented. “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre or Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. And as for you, Capernaum: ‘Will you be exalted in heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.’ For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”
Do we tend to forget, in all that we know of God’s infinite Love, that He is also infinite Justice and that He has promised that Hell is also possible for those who do not repent of their sin?

National Campaign News
Catholic Bishop Joseph Galante of Camden, New Jersey noted the hard, sometimes frustrating efforts that often accompany pro-life work when he wrote this note endorsing the 40 Days for Life campaign, reminding us that the Lord is indeed present:
"We surely have experienced great challenges in our effort to give witness to the dignity and value of human life. These challenges naturally test our patience and commitment. We may hunger for quicker progress and tire of the journey. Yet, recalling God's fidelity, and strengthened by His grace, we do not grow discouraged or weary, but carry on with quiet humility and prayerful perseverance. In this spirit, may the 40 Days for Life campaign open the hearts and minds of people everywhere."
Bishop Galante was scheduled to pray at one of the local 40 Days for Life prayer vigils on Day 1. We thank him -- and all of you -- who persevere in this battle!

We’ve had several churches or church groups adopt a full day at the vigil site, but there remain many hours for which we need your help. Please, visit the calendar, register and sign-up to join us at the sidewalk. Help us fill the hours of the first weekend now. Our Vigil Calendar is located at: www.vigilcalendar.com/renotahoe.
Prayer volunteers do not have to also be sidewalk counselors. Also, we are praying many hours when the abortion site is closed.
Sign up even if you’re not 100% sure that you can make that particular time. If circumstances prevent you being at the sidewalk then just make it up another time.
