Father Rescues His Child!
"At 7:30am, Gloria and her daughter were the only ones praying. Minutes after they arrived, a man was already leaving Planned Parenthood. He asked them why they were there. She said, 'We are pro-life and we don't accept abortion. We are praying to end abortion.' The man burst into tears and said that his wife was inside the clinic. But that he didn't want her to have the abortion. He went inside to talk with his wife. Two hours later, the man came out in tears and said, 'I got her out! Thank you!' By then more volunteers had joined the vigil and were celebrating!

"As Gloria was waving goodbye to the prayer group, she saw volunteers talking to another woman that was leaving the clinic. She stopped at the prayer team and thanked them for their prayers, saying, "I didn't do it! Thank you!"

Life Chain, March 15, 2 – 3:30 pm
Life Chain, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is a peaceful witness to the fact that Abortion Kills Children, and Abortion Hurts Women. Christians are called to stand in witness to the truth Christ gave us, that all human life is sacred and deserving of protection. Life Chain began making this witness known through the holding of signs on public sidewalks in 1988. Since then, this peaceful witness has continued in locations around the world, bringing visibility to the unspoken subject of abortion. Reno’s most successful Life Chain was held nearly 20 years ago, during which over 1000 people stood on the sidewalk raising awareness through-out the community. We would like to again bring people out to say “Enough is Enough”, but to do so with messages of peace, healing and truth. Women Deserve Better than Abortion, but if they don’t know the truth, they may find themselves submitting to this as their supposed best option. Help us spread the word, Adoption is the Loving Option. Additional signs state: Jesus Forgives and Heals; Lord, Forgive us and our Nation; El Aborto Mata Niño’s; Life the First Inalienable Right; and Pray to End Abortion.

Katie, of Carson City, has stepped forward to coordinate our Life Chain effort. Time is running out, now is the time to order your signs.

• Contact Katie by Wednesday with the number of signs you would like to order for your church, so we can ensure we have enough on-hand for all who want to participate. We intend to order extras so don’t worry if the deadline has passed, but please, please help us know how many to order.
• We will be defining the final locations based on the numbers and locations of those churches that step forward to participate.
• None of the Life Chain locations will be located in the immediate proximity of the abortion sites, so for those who are not prepared to stand at the site of the killings, fear not, this is a way you can be a visible witness to the loving message of Christ.
• If we have sufficient participation to merit it, we will have multiple locations in the Reno/Sparks area, as well as a site in Carson City. There is a possibility that there may be a Life Chain location in the Tahoe City/Truckee area, but this is dependant upon an early response showing interest.
• We plan on having a second Life Chain event as our End of Campaign Rally, Sunday April 5th, this time with all participants gathering at a single location, most likely in downtown Reno, with our End of Campaign Celebration BBQ to follow.

New Abortion Site in Carson City – Tahoe Women’s Care - 973 Mica Dr
It has been brought to our attention that a new abortion site has opened in Carson City. In an effort to “welcome” them to the community, we will be have a second vigil location for our 40 Day campaign, located at the sidewalk entry to the complex in which they are located.

Please register on-line when you plan to stand to Pray to End Abortion at this site, as it helps others to know they can join another and not be alone as they do so. To register, go to: www.vigilcalendar.com/carsoncity.

First Saturday Rosary, March 7, 9:00 am
Calling all Pro-Life Catholics (and others who are interested) to pray the Rosary at the abortion site on Saturday, February 7th at 9:00 am. Join us as we pray the Gospel.

Vigil of Mourning, March 13, 6:00 pm
Join as we mourn the lives lost at the abortion site and the potential never realized through the horror of abortion. Bring your large sized votive candles and wear clothes in black to symbolize the mourning of these losses.

This is a Catholic devotion of praying for the Mercy of God, but all are welcome to join.

Life Chain, March 15, 2 – 3:30 pm

President Barack Obama Names Pro-Abortion Kathleen Sebelius Health Secretary
[LifeNews.com] -- Strongly pro-abortion Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has accepted President Barack Obama's request to serve as the Health Secretary. Sebelius has one of the most radical pro-abortion record of any elected official and a longstanding relationship with a late-term abortion practitioner.

Sebelius is most notorious for her close relationship with late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller, who has escaped prosecution and accountability thus far for allegedly repeatedly violating state abortion laws. However, a judge recently ruled charges against him from the state attorney general's office can move ahead.

He's done so in part because of the lax standards of Sebelius and her political allies, to whom Tiller has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars. Governor Sebelius vetoed a bill last April that the legislature approved that would have strengthened the state's limits on late-term abortions.

Sign-up for Your Hours on the Vigil Calendar
We’ve had several churches or church groups adopt a full day at the vigil site, but there remain many hours for which we need your help. Please, visit the calendar, register and sign-up to join us at the sidewalk. Our Vigil Calendars are located at: www.vigilcalendar.com/renotahoe and www.vigilcalendar.com/carsoncity for Reno and Carson City respectively.

Prayer volunteers do not have to be sidewalk counselors. Also, we are praying many hours when the abortion site is closed.

Sign up even if you’re not 100% sure that you can make that particular time. If circumstances prevent you being at the sidewalk then just make it up another time.
