Have you signed up on the Vigil Calendar?
It is important to sign up if at all possible. Some prayer volunteers are ready and willing to go to the abortion site but do not want to be there alone. You don’t know who you might be encouraging to come out and join you when you sign up. If no one is there when you arrive simply pray IN YOUR CAR until another prayer volunteer arrives.
It is most important to pray whether you have signed up ahead of time or not. If you’re near the abortion site and have even just a few moments to spare – GO PRAY!
Commit to pray daily from wherever you are.

First baby saved of this campaign!
There's something BIG to report -- the FIRST BABY SAVED from abortion during this brand-new campaign!
Two women were praying at a 40 Days for Life vigil in New Jersey -- for one of them, it was the first time ever. As they were praying, they saw a woman who had just come out of the clinic and was standing near the door. When the women who were praying asked if she would take a flyer, she had a simple response: "I didn't do it! I changed my mind."
In Worcester, Massachusetts, Bishop Robert McManus led about 40 people in prayer. Paul, one of the local coordinators, said, "It was the most people I've ever seen there at one time." Reporters for two newspapers were there as well. "We are getting so many new people involved. I think something big is coming!"

Prayer and Singing at the abortion site Thursday morning
I arrived at the abortion site about 9:30 am – thirty minutes later than I (Shirley) had intended (and had signed up for – which is why I was a “drop-in” prayer in previous campaigns). I thought I might see faithful Richard for a few minutes and expected to pray alone as I was the only one signed up on the vigil schedule. However, the Lord knew better.
Richard AND Tony were there upon my arrival. Shortly thereafter Carl arrived for his first visit to the abortion site – the first of many, he assures me. A little while later Mary and Millie arrived with their children and I had the pleasure and privilege to join in with these sweet young voices singing the Divine Mercy.
I expected a time of solitary prayer and the Lord blessed me with the inspiration of young children as well as old and new pro-life friends.
Be a blessing and an encouragement. Come pray at the abortion site.

Pro-Life Rally in Sparks February 27, 7:00 pm
[NevadaLIFE] Night for Life at Spirit Filled Church In Sparks Friday Night Feb. 27th at 7 pm Nevada LIFE, a local minister's group and others are holding a "night for life" pro-life rally at 7 pm Friday Night on February 27th at Church of Jesus Christ Spirit Filled at 3175 Goldy Way in Sparks. Child care will be available. Click here for a reproducible flyer. Click here for a half sheet handout or bulletin insert. Keynote speaker Pastor Wayne Hoag has a powerful story. Pastor Hoag assisted with many abortions when he was a U.S. Navy Ob/Gyn operating room technician. He "was always troubled by the presence of identifiable body parts such as tiny feet and hands" that he routinely removed from the abortion suction machine. (Continue)

40 Days through Scripture
Day 3: Matthew 13 – 18
Matt 18:6-9 Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of things that cause sin! Such things must come, but woe to the one through whom they come! If you hand or foot causes you to sin, cut if off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into fiery Gehenna.
When we allow laws like legalized abortion to stand, are we not guilty of leading these girls to the sin that damns them? Are we not obliged to find them and bring them to repentance through Jesus, Our Lord? Do we not need to tear from the fabric of our land and the Laws that guide it, any traces of abortion as a legal option, so that the entire land will not rot under the evil it perpetuates? We must exorcise abortion laws from our land now.

No one can make it clearer that abortion hurts women than one who has been there, done THAT, suffered and finally found healing.
Let us pray for, educate and support women in crisis pregnancy situations and also pray for post-abortive women and extend the love of Christ to them.

Sign-up for Your Hours on the Vigil Calendar

Please, visit the calendar, register and sign-up to join us at the sidewalk. Help us fill the hours of the first weekend now. Our Vigil Calendar is located at: www.vigilcalendar.com/renotahoe.
Prayer volunteers do not have to also be sidewalk counselors. Also, we are praying many hours when the abortion site is closed.
Sign up even if you’re not 100% sure that you can make that particular time. If circumstances prevent you being at the sidewalk then just make it up another time.
If you have difficulty signing up send us an email at renotahoe@40daysforlife.com with your name, phone number (for verification purposes) and the dates and times for which you wish to sign up.
