Pray that the post-abortive woman would be repentant, accept forgiveness, be healed and restored, and bring glory to God with her new life.

“Because abortion is legal in America, many have justified their choice. "If it's legal, it can't be wrong, right?" We now have an entire generation of men and women who have never known abortion to be illegal; a generation of people who have never been broken over their sin of abortion.

As a result, the consequences of unconfessed sin weigh on their souls, yet they have never connected the dots as to why their hearts are heavy. No wonder we have millions of women who are struggling with depression, addictions, eating disorders and more.

Post abortion syndrome is very real but recovery begins when the individual agrees with God as David confessed in Psalm 51:3-4, 14, "Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight - that You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when you Judge. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation."

Brokenness is the key to accessing God's glorious mercy and healing. Christ came to heal the broken hearted and He is waiting with open arms to take the post-abortive woman on a glorious journey of healing and restoration if she will only run to Him.

God will not waste any sin we lay at His feet. Imagine millions of healed and restored post-abortive women like myself singing aloud of His righteousness and giving testimony of His love and forgiveness. What a day of rejoicing that will be!”

'I Regret My Abortion' Message Comes to 40 Days for Life Campaign on March 10
"We are highly encouraged that the Silent No More Awareness Campaign is urging women and men who have found healing in the wake of abortion to stand witness in front of abortion facilities on March 10 in connection with 40 Days for Life," said Shawn Carney, spring campaign director for 40 Days for Life. "The message of post-abortion healing plays an important role in the dismantling of the abortion culture and the construction of a new culture of life."
Women who are involved with the Silent No More Awareness Campaign will be carrying signs that read, "I regret my abortion," and men will be holding signs with the message, "I regret lost fatherhood."

The date March 10 was chosen because this is the date that the abortion industry has marked as Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. "That concept flies in the face of the destruction we know abortion causes," said Carney, "not just for the baby whose life is taken, but for the mother, the father -- and many others including extended family and friends. It is our fervent hope that women with abortion appointments on March 10 will see the silent, prayerful witness of others who have walked in their shoes, and avoid making a tragic decision that could haunt them physically, psychologically and spiritually for years and years to come."

A steady stream of prayer volunteers at the abortion site
Sunny, pleasant weather greeted prayer volunteers today after a snowy start – a welcome change from the past two days to be sure! Wednesday’s vigil was adopted by individual hearts as a steady stream of prayer volunteers maintained a faithful prayerful presence at the abortion site.

Many were not on the vigil schedule but felt called to come out and pray. Your prayerful presence is most important. Come out and pray whenever you have the opportunity whether you are officially scheduled or not.

I (Shirley) purposely chose an empty time on the vigil schedule for my prayer so as to minimize gaps in our presence at the abortion site. Still, I was greeted by an unscheduled prayer warrior and more arrived shortly after my departure. The Lord is richly blessing me with the wonderful people I meet and have the privilege of praying with at the abortion site.

First Saturday Rosary, March 7, 9:00 am
Calling all Pro-Life Catholics (and others who are interested) to pray the Rosary at the abortion site on Saturday, February 7th at 9:00 am. Join us as we pray the Gospel.

Vigil of Mourning, March 13, 6:00 pm
Join as we mourn the lives lost at the abortion site and the potential never realized through the horror of abortion. Bring your large sized votive candles and wear clothes in black to symbolize the mourning of these losses.

This is a Catholic devotion of praying for the Mercy of God, but all are welcome to join.

Life Chain, March 15, 2 – 3:30 pm
Life Chain, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is a peaceful witness to the fact that Abortion Kills Children, and Abortion Hurts Women. Christians are called to stand in witness to the truth Christ gave us, that all human life is sacred and deserving of protection. We would like to again bring people out to say “Enough is Enough”, but to do so with messages of peace, healing and truth. Women Deserve Better than Abortion, but if they don’t know the truth, they may find themselves submitting to this as their supposed best option. Help us spread the word, Adoption is the Loving Option. Additional signs state: Jesus Forgives and Heals; Lord, Forgive us and our Nation; El Aborto Mata Niño’s; Life the First Inalienable Right; and Pray to End Abortion.

Planned Parenthood Feels the Heat – Let’s Turn it UP!
Tell Congress: Defund Planned Parenthood!
Planned Parenthood learned that Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) attacked Planned Parenthood again on Wednesday. He offered an amendment to the Appropriations Act this afternoon that would block Planned Parenthood health centers from receiving federal funds from Title X.

Call your senators and tell them to stand up and SUPPORT the Vitter amendment.

The appropriations bill has not yet been voted on, so we need you to call today. Ask your senators to speak out on the floor and support Sen. David Vitter’s Amendment No. 601 to the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 (H.R.1105).

“The amendment would single out Planned Parenthood for exclusion from the Title X program because Planned Parenthood health centers engage in constitutionally protected conduct that is separate from participation in the Title X program.” www.plannedparenthoodaction.org
EXACTLY! The “constitutionally protected conduct” they cite is ABORTION. We taxpayers do not want to fund ANY activities at Planned Parenthood that would directly or indirectly subsidize their abortion service.

Don’t know who your senators are, or what their office phone numbers are? It’s easy to look them up.

Here is what Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood said in her most recent appeal to supporters:

“I know we've been asking a lot of you recently, and I want you to know that your support is making a huge difference in Congress. It's so important for those of us who support family planning and expanding health care access to speak out, loud and clear.Thank you for standing with us as we work to secure an important victory for family planning and women across the country.”

The “family planning services” and “expanded health care access” mentioned refer to ABORTION.

Keep the heat on Planned Parenthood! Call and email your senators now with your SUPPORT of the Vitter Amendment #601.

We’ve had several churches or church groups adopt a full day at the vigil site, but there remain many hours for which we need your help. Please, visit the calendar, register and sign-up to join us at the sidewalk. Our Vigil Calendars are located at: www.vigilcalendar.com/renotahoe and www.vigilcalendar.com/carsoncity for Reno and Carson City respectively.

Sign up even if you’re not 100% sure that you can make that particular time. If circumstances prevent you being at the sidewalk then just make it up another time.
